hello !

I got my plug a week a go (from GS) and I have same heat issue (wifi is up).

the plug is wifi-AP on 192.168.10.1

I boot the plug without net cables. I connect eth0 in 100Mb hub and I get 192.168.5.xxx

I connect eth1 in 100Mb hub and I get 192.168.1.xxx.

If I do the same exercise on gigabyte hub, the plug crash.

wtih cables connected, do not boot. Without wifi enabled, do not boot either.

any one make it work on 1gb lan?
system is up to date, debian distribution from GS.
thx

After a lot of trial and error, my plug is rock stable when blacklisting libertas_sdio, libertas and uap8xxx

It could be software, but globalscale more or less already confirmed it's a overheating issue, however I find this very hard to believe when my plug is running rock solid  with everything, so ALSO gigabit when all is changed is blacklisting the libertas radio.
The guru is running extremely hot though. Almost afraid to leave it on at night.

/edit
okaaay, 2x gigabit is definitely no-go. So probably is power issue.

thx for your reply.

it doesn't work for me. Did you update the u-boot?
My plug  was up entire week 24h a day. It smell a bit like was burned, but still running.

I did a small test case. I attached the log. all my tests are : no wifi,no eth1, no bluetooth. Only eth0.

1. network cable on 100Mb hub - OK
2. network cable on 1000gb - nothing
3. network cable in 100Mb, boot and disconnect and connect into 1000Mb hub- ok

on log I see 1o min without log ( test case 2) and no ip request on dhcp server:
