Hello,

It seems i've bricked uboot on my guru server plus.
So try to reflash uboot with installer
What i've done is:

1. i downloaded installer from: http://www.plugcomputer.org/index.php/us/resources/downloads?func=select&id=16

2. and image from:
http://code.google.com/p/guruplug/downloads/detail?name=Guruplug%20server%20PLUS%20-%20uboot.plug2.bin.zip&can=2&q=

3. run installer with command:
sudo ./runme.sh uboot.plug2.bin

4. I get error from the bottom of this post

I'm sure JTAG isn't bricked because i can connect with it to another (not bricked plug)

Any clue what's wrong ?

Hi,

I have experiencer similar problems, when trying to run the installer on a virtual machine.

For me it helped to reboot the machine, somehow something chrashed the driver so the script would not run, event though i could use minicom to se the output.

Wkr.

Try a small workaround :
Reset the plug and quickly launch you openocd process.

It may help, sometimes.

yeah, i've tried various combinations of things to get it to flash... including timing related stuff and various different machines with no real success.

Either my plug is bricked or the jtag board is bricked. I dont get anything at all on the serial console though (though i used to and the installer used to work).

I suspect my plug is most definitely toast, or the flimsy little wires connecting the jtag board to the plug are broke in some way.

God is a very humerous man...

my plug's been stuck in its current state for a week with that same problem. just now i poked the jtag wires with a small screw driver, re-ran the installer and it installed ok and my plug is no longer a brick... just after i posted my last post.

-- update: interestingly, if my plug is sitting on its feet, it fails. If my plug is sitting on its side (with the sd card side down) it works... thats just not a good thing really, definitely sounds like a wire contact issue though.

I'm still stucked but i think it worked for you because of reset button pressed. (plug lies on the reset button)
