Hi all

git://git.marvell.com/u-boot-kw.git is updated to support ehci USB host controller interface on Kirkwood
the interface is tested on Sheevaplug.
This driver enables "Boot from USB" feature on Sheevaplug
A small howto can be found at

http://www.plugcomputer.org/plugwiki/index.php/Das_U-boot_plug_support#How_to_boot_Sheevaplug_from_USB_Storage

regards..

prafulla, the impression I have is that to boot from an USB drive it has to be formatted as FAT.   Is that correct or does u-boot support booting from a drive formatted as ext2, ext3 or ext4?

uboot supports booting from FAT16 and ETX2 (-I 128), FAT32 support should be added very soon

Thanks for the info.  How about adding support for ext2 w/256 byte Inodes (the default now), too?

Thank you for the response.  256 I node support would be good.  By the way what are the uboot ext2 commands?

If you have an EXT2 (with one partition) formatted USB you can:   ext2load usb 0:1 0x800000 /boot/uImage
assuming you have /boot/uImage on the USB
